Youth & Children Ministry Leader

Jason Schartz

Jason is a Phoenix native, born and raised in the Valley. He was not raised in a Christian home, but came to know and love Jesus Christ, accepting Him as Lord and Savior, at the age of sixteen. After high school Jason attended Southwestern College, which is now known as Arizona Christian University (ACU). He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries in 2012.

Jason and his wife, Melinda, met at ACU in the fall of 2010. Through their involvement in the university’s choir and small vocal ensemble, they became close friends I and soon fell in love. They were married in January of 2013.

In October of 2014, Jason and Melinda packed up and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. It wasn’t long before God called them back home to the great state of Arizona, through Jason’s call to serve the church family at Trinity.

Through his own experience of growing up and knowing life without Christ as a teenager, God has given Jason a deep love and passion for youth. He has worked with youth in many capacities, from leading worship, to being a discipleship leader, and filling in as a youth pastor through a very tough transition at a previous church. His desire is to provide a safe place for kids and teens to experience the love of God, and to help them develop and grow in their relationship with the Lord. It is through this deep, loving relationship with God that we learn to love others the way He loves us.

Jason and his wife are so excited to be a part of the wonderful church family at Trinity, and to be a part of God’s plans to reach the youth of Casa Grande!
